BETONIT TILE GROUT SEALER

1)    Is Betonit Grout Sealer a good stain and soil repellant?

It is a good repellant for most oil-based stains most commonly found in restrooms or kitchens.  Also, the sealer repels the stain for enough time to quickly clean it off from the surface.  But if you leave the bead or stain on the surface, eventually residual staining will occur but not to the same extent as untreated surfaces.

2)    How soon after grouting can we apply grout sealer?

Apply Grout Sealer at least 12 hours after grouting.  Apply using a bristle brush, preferably just a little wider than the grout line for maximum coverage. Repeat application until the substrate remains moist for a few minutes.

3)    How soon after sealing, can the area be used?

Allow at least 24 hours curing time before exposure to water or foot traffic.  For maximum sealing performance, extend  curing time to 7 days.

4)    If used to seal tile grout in swimming pools and basements, no need to do waterproofing?

Betonit Grout Sealer is a water resistant sealer.  This product is not a substitute for waterproofing.  Do not use to seal surfaces such as roofdecks, basements, ceilings, and pools.  For areas exposed to hydrostatic pressure, we recommend to protect the area with a waterproofing membrane such as Sealcrete.
